1. Selecting the Parrot

  • Research: Learn about the specific breed you’re interested in, including its care requirements, lifespan, and behavior.
  • Contact the Seller: Reach out to the Parrot Heaven assistants via email, enquiry, or WhatsApp to express your interest and ask any preliminary questions about the bird.

2. Compatibility Assessment

  • Questionnaire/Consultation: Parrot Heaven assistants will often ask potential buyers questions to ensure they can provide a suitable home.

3. Reservation

  • If you decide to proceed with your purchase, we kindly require a deposit to confirm your intent. Please note that all deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable.
  • The deposit amount is set at 20% of the total value of your chosen feathered friend. After reservation, the final payment must be completed 24 hours before the day of delivery if feathered friend is to be delivered or if it is to be picked up final payment can be completed at pick-up.
  • We accept payments via Skrill or PayPal Friends and Family. Please be aware that PayPal payments made under “Goods and Services” will be refunded, minus any applicable charges incurred.

4. Arrangements for the Parrot

  • Cage and Accessories: Ensure you have a suitable cage ready for your new feathered friend. If you don’t already have one, we at Parrot Haven are pleased to offer a spacious, durable, and easy-to-clean cage at a discounted price of £300. This cage is designed to provide comfort and safety, making it a perfect home for your parrot.

5. Payment and Documentation

There is a limit of 2 different payment per order, with the exception of the deposit. For local pickups, the remaining balance will be due on the scheduled pickup date if paying in cash. If paying electronically, payment must clear at least 24 hours prior to the pickup appointment. For purchases of Parrots that are to be transported, the remaining balance must be paid 3 days prior to the first scheduled day of the transport. We accept payments via Skrill or PayPal Friends and Family. Please be aware that PayPal payments made under “Goods and Services” will be refunded, minus any applicable charges incurred. After completion of payment the following documents will be provided :

  • Health Records: documentation such as a health certificate, vaccination records, or DNA sexing.
  • Care Guide: Parrot Haven provides care instructions tailored to the parrot species for all new clients

6. Transportation

  • Pick-Up or Delivery:At Parrot Haven, we prefer that clients pick up their new feathered friends in person, as this allows for a personal introduction and ensures a smooth handover. However, we understand that this isn’t always feasible.To accommodate our clients, we offer a reliable delivery service for those unable to collect their parrot. Booking transportation starts at £100, with the final cost depending on the destination. All fees will be discussed in advance to ensure transparency.

7. Transition Period

  • Acclimatization: Allow the parrot time to adjust to its new environment.
  • Veterinary Check-Up: Schedule a visit with an avian vet to ensure the bird is healthy and to establish a baseline for future care.

8. Ongoing Support

  • Seller Support: Parrot Heaven offer ongoing advice and guidance to new owners.
  • Training and Bonding: Dedicate time to building a trusting relationship with your parrot through training and interaction.
